- No Analytics: We do not use any analytics tools to track user behavior or app usage.
- Camera access: The app requires access to your device's camera to scan QR codes. The camera feed is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. The camera is only used when you ask the app to scann a QR code.
- Access to your file system: The app requires access to your device's file system when you choose to scan a QR code you have saved as an image or one that you have taken a picture of. The app does not access any other files on your device. This access is triggered by you when you choose to scan a QR code from an image.
- Access to your clipboard: The app requires access to your device's clipboard to allow you to copy the information contained within a scanned QR code.
The app does not access your clipboard at any other time.
The app does not read the content of your clipboard. - Access to local storage: The app runs inside a browser instance and stores the QR data if you choose to, in the local storage or indexed DB of the browser in runs in. This data is bound to your app can't be accessed by any other apps or website.
- Access to App: The app can use your fingerprint sensor or face id to unlock access to your stored QR codes if you configure it to do so. This is a feature that you can enable or disable at any time.
User Data Handling:
- Local Storage: All data, including QR codes, is stored locally on your device. This means that the data is only accessible to you and remains private.
- Adding and Deleting Data: You can add new QR code entries or delete existing ones at any time. All changes are saved locally on your device.
- Data Deletion on Uninstallation: If you uninstall QR Private Code, all stored data will be permanently deleted from your device.

To function properly, QR Private Code requires the following permissions:- Camera Access: To scan QR codes directly.
Security:
- Local Data Storage: All data is stored locally on your device, minimizing the risk of unauthorized access.
- No External Transmission: Since the app does not access the internet, your data is not transmitted or exposed to potential online threats.
