About Agatha Soft
Agatha Soft is a software development side project of mine that specializes in creating web applications, mobile applications, and websites.
I realized over time that I have a couple of passions :
- Creating software solutions
- Helping people become better developers
The goal is to create small and medium-sized software solutions that solve real-world (small) problems.
The size of these projects is ideal as it allows me to showcase major phases of development, from the initial idea to the final product.
I make Youtube videos for each project I make and publish them on my channel.
I also write articles on my blog to help people follow along and get access to code snippets showed in my videos.
My background
I graduated as a software engineer back in 2010 and have been working as a software developer for over 14 years now.
I have worked in various industries such as banking, insurance, and e-commerce.
Language wise, I have worked with various ones such as C#, PHP, and JavaScript, SQL and some other minor ones.
I have also worked with various frameworks such as Angular, Ionic, Firebase, NestJS...
Today I am focusing on Angular on the frontend for web apps, Astro for static sites, NestJs for small Apis, and Ionic/Capacitos for mobile apps, GCP (Google Cloud Platform) for hosting everything.
The google choice is mainly because it's the one I am familiar with.
Career
I have started my career as a software developer in 2010 and have been working in automotive industry since.
I moved to New Zeland in 2015 where I worked for a couple of companies before starting my own business.
That was the moment I switched from microsoft technologies (.Net + C# + SQL Server) to Angular + NodeJS + GCP.
I cofounded RoadMate in 2016 in New Zealand which was a startup that offers a carpooling program.
We had a mobile app and a web app that allowed people to share their daily commute with others.
That didn't work out as expected and we had to close the business and move the France in 2018.
That's when I started working on a new concept for RoadMate which became a payment solution for businesses allowing them to manage their employee benefits.
In France, there are many tax incentives for companies that offer benefits to their employees such as forfait mobilité durable to help employees pay for their daily commute expenses.
Agatha Soft
In 2023, I became father of a litte girl that sparkled in my mind many ideas for new projects.
That's when I decided to start Agatha Soft to share my experience with the world.
I have been working on various projects since then and have been sharing my experience on my Youtube channel and this blog.
This is a side project for me, and the main goal is to help other people grow and succeed in their projects.
